A great toy store is so much more than a place to buy toys; it’s a place to encourage imagination, inspire creativity, and begin new adventures. Plus, the best toy stores aren’t just for kids – they’re for everyone to enjoy! These Seattle toy stores are wonderful spaces to explore with your kids or just to tap into your inner child.

5 Seattle Toy Stores to Kickstart Your Little One’s Next Adventure

Snapdoodle Toys

Snapdoodle Toys is a community-focused toy and game store that offers kids of all ages opportunities to play and learn. With seven locations throughout the greater Seattle area, each store has a fantastic selection of curated toys and games. Snapdoodle has a vast array of toys available for purchase on their website. Still, nothing beats stopping by one of their stores in person!

Magic Mouse Toys

Whether you have kids or are just a kid at heart, Magic Mouse Toys is an awesome two-story toy store with something for everyone. Since opening in 1977, they’ve been a go-to spot for puzzles, books, stuffed toys, costumes, art kits, and more. They’re also a great place to find popular name-brand toys like Lego, Jellycat, Brio, Ravensburger, and more. Toddlers, grandparents, and parents alike will love browsing the selection of classic and modern toys. Who knows – you may just end up leaving with a treat for yourself!

Clover Toys

Since opening in 2004, Clover Toys has been an independent and women-owned toy store. Their mission is to “provide beautiful, unique toys and clothing to our community, with an emphasis on quality.” This Seattle toy store also prioritizes sustainably made toys, so they’re good for your little one and the planet! Shop for toys, educational products, and even clothing for kids. Their website has some great gift guides for kids by age and price, so if you aren’t sure where to begin, they’ll help you get started!

Red Wagon Toys

Red Wagon Toys is a charming toy store in the gorgeous historic Madison Park area. Since 2009, they’ve been offering creative, unique, and educational toys from great name brands for kids of all ages. Their bright, colorful store is excellent for finding your new favorite children’s book, a fabulous dress-up outfit, or even a new cuddly plush friend. Red Wagon Toys carries popular brands and some newer and lesser-known companies dedicated to making kids – and kids at heart – smile.

Bootyland Kids

Environmentally aware parents and families will love shopping at Bootyland. This Seattle toy store has been a champion of sustainability since opening in 1996, and they focus on companies that prioritize ethical labor, design, and quality. They’ve always been the place to go for hip, fashion-forward families with babies, and their inventory has grown to cover toys and fabulous clothing for toddlers, kids, tweens, and adults.

Seattle Toy Stores

Any of these amazing Seattle toy stores can help you find the next best thing for your little one. Most offer free gift wrapping all year round and have friendly, knowledgeable staff to help you as you shop. Skip the online shopping if you can, and go visit in person – it’s a totally different shopping experience!

From one busy mom to another, I know what it’s like to have to balance a thousand things at one time. So often, it feels like we’re so rushed that we can’t take a second to actually enjoy this stage of parenthood. Unfortunately, these years have a tendency to fly by. As a Seattle photographer, I love giving parents the opportunity to freeze time so they can hang onto these gorgeous moments long after their kids are grown. I specialize in creating laid-back photo sessions, so you’re left with authentic memories. If you’ve been thinking about booking some pictures for your family, I would love to chat and see if my process works for you. Contact me today to get the conversation started!
