Having a baby is a whirlwind experience. While it’s beautiful & more love-filled than you can ever imagine, it’s also stressful and takes a toll, both mentally and physically. I promise I understand. I have purposefully built my business around alleviating stressors to have a portrait experience where you feel comfortable & rejuvenated.

The process of a newborn session with Salt and Ink
When you reserve your newborn photos with me at Salt And Ink Photography, we’ll settle on a date around your due date, with the flexibility to change once your baby has arrived. As a luxury photographer, I limit the number of sessions per month to ensure everyone gets the level of attention & detail they deserve from me, so it’s important to reserve your date early.
Once your contract and reservation fee are taken care of, you are officially on the calendar! It’s so exciting to be your Tacoma Newborn Photographer!
We will have a consultation to talk through your vision and on the day of your session, you will begin with hair and makeup, then select what you want to wear and dress the family. The session will include both candid & posed portraits to create a gallery that tells your family’s story and includes all of the details.
A few weeks after your session, we’ll schedule your viewing and ordering appointment, where you’ll see your gallery and choose your favorite images to purchase and turn into artwork for your home.

Newborn portraits are typically reserved at the start of the second trimester for 7-14 days after your baby arrives.
